Who We Are
We are a non-governmental organization working to promote, through human rights advocacy, the dignity, rights, and welfare of persons with albinism in Africa and their family members.

How We Work
We work with like-minded entities to prioritize human rights-based support for persons with albinism in Africa and influence action in response to the challenges faced by persons with albinism and their family members, through these three key vehicles:
The Human Rights-Based Approach
A commitment to dignity and equality, empowering all as rights-holders such as albinism leaders and groups through capacity development, holding governments accountable. Discover AAN’s impactful human rights advocacy collaborations.
Plan of Action on albinism as an Advocacy Tool
The Africa Union Plan of Action to End Attacks and Other Human Rights Violations Targeting Persons with Albinism in Africa (Plan of Action 2021-2031) is our strategic framework of operation. It is a tool that unites our diverse stakeholders and partners around a common objective and plan to end albinism-targeted human rights violations.
Resources
We provide a rich library of more than 500 digital resources in different languages accessible to activists, researchers, the media, and other key stakeholders that can advance the movement for the promotion of human rights for persons with albinism.

News & Stories
Through stories of impact, AAN seeks to inspire our potential supporters, including donors, political leaders, and grassroots activists, among others, that it is urgent to implement national action plans on albinism to transform the lives of persons with albinism in Africa.
