AAN’s Learning Forums take various forms: in-person or virtual, regional, or focused on a single country.

Topics covered respond to the needs assessments AAN conducts, including periodic surveys and evaluation exercises with the Human Rights Defenders (HRDs) and other relevant stakeholders, such as funding partners and government.

Key features of AAN’s learning forums include the opportunity for exchange of learning and best practices among participants. The albinism movement is at a stage where more experienced activists serve as trainers at learning forums. HRDs consistently rate the learning and networking opportunities offered by these forums as extremely valuable.
